Europejski charakter PGE Spójni

W czwartej kolejce spotkań w grupie H FIBA Europe Cup stargardzki zespół wygrał z holenderskim Heroes Den Bosch 73:65.

To był bardzo trudny mecz dla PGE Spójni. Nie ułożył się on bowiem po jej myśli i niemal przez całe spotkanie trzeba było gonić wynik. Na otwarcie było 0:10, a po kilku minutach holenderski klub osiągnął swoje najwyższe, piętnastopunktowe prowdzenie. Od stanu 2:17 do pracy zabrali się gospodarze. Karol Gruszecki i Stephen Brown Jr. trafili trójki i rozpoczęła się pogoń za przeciwnikiem.

Jednak dogonić Heroes nie było tak łatwo. Przewaga gości się zmniejszała, ale cały czas byli oni na plusie, czy to trzy punkty, czy dwa, czy choćby jeden. Trener PGE Spójni Sebastian Machowski próbował różnych rozwiązań i rotował składem. Swoje doskonałe pięć minut miał Dominik Grudziński, serię trójek zanotował Ben Simons, ważne trafienia zaliczał Sebastian Kowalczyk, pod koszami kolejne zbiórki notował Adam Łapeta, a w ataku świetnie radził sobie Aleksandar Langovic. To właśnie Serb doprowadził w czwartej kwarcie do remisu, a w 33 minucie wyprowadził swój zespół na prowadzenie.

PGE Spójnia pokazała dzisiaj charakter. Jak już po długim pościgu gospodarze wyszli na prowadzenie, tak pozostali na nim do końca meczu. Przez kilka minut trwała wymiana ciosów, na trójkę jednych, trójką odpowiadali drudzy. W stargardzkiej drużynie ważne trafienia zanotowali Simons, Adam Brenk i Langovic. Od stanu 67:59 PGE Spójnia utrzymywała bezpieczną przewagę i ostatecznie wygrała różnicą ośmiu punktów.

In the fourth round of matches in group H of the FIBA Europe Cup, the Stargard team won against the Dutch Heroes Den Bosch 73:65.
