W drugiej kolejce spotkań FIBA Europe Cup PGE Spójnia Stargard wygrała z Fotbal Club Arges Pitesti 65:62.

Stargardzki zespół tydzień temu minimalnie przegrał w Rumunii z CSM CSU Oradea 75:77, a rumuński Arges Pitesti nieznacznie pokonał u siebie estoński BC Parnu Sadam 67:65.

Pierwszą kwartę lepiej zaczęli dziś gospodarze, którzy zyskali kilkupunktową przewagę. Przede wszystkim za sprawą Aleksandara Langovica, który dobrze radził sobie w akcjach podkoszowych. W 6 minucie, po trójce Ta’Lona Coopera, PGE Spójnia prowadziła 13:7. Goście odrobili dystans, głównie dzięki skutecznym rzutom trzypunktowym. Przy wyniku 15:15 w stargardzkim zespole trafili Jehonatan Yam i Sebastian Kowalczyk, zapewniając gospodarzom czteropunktową przewagę po 10 minutach.

Na początku drugiej kwarty, po trafieniu Damiana Krużyńskiego, PGE Spójnia prowadziła 23:15 i w kolejnych minutach pilnowała przewagi. W trzeciej kwarcie skuteczność poprawiła się najpierw po stronie klubu ze Stargardu. Wreszcie zaczęły wpadać mu trójki. Przewaga rosła. W 25 minucie, po 3 pkt Ta’Lona Coopera, było 41:31, a trzy minuty później, po trójce Jehonatana Yama 49:36. To nie była jednak przewaga, która już rozstrzygała mecz. Wystarczył fragment lepszej gry FC Arges i prowadzenie Spójni zmniejszyło się do 7 pkt po 30 minutach. Trzecia kwarta była remisowa.

Czwarta kwarta rozpoczęła się od skutecznych akcji zespołu z Rumunii. Trafiali Corey Allen-Williams, Austin Price, Christian Jones i wszystko zaczynało się od nowa. Był remis po 51. In the second round of FIBA Europe Cup matches, PGE Spójnia Stargard won against Fotbal Club Arges Pitesti 65:62.
